Xonrupt-Longemer is located in the heart of the “Hautes Vosges” (High Vosges) and the “Vallée des Lacs” (valley of the lakes) with its 3 lakes, Retournemer, Longemer, Gérardmer, resulting from glacial erosion.

Labeled « Starry Village » and classified as a remarkable natural site, Xonrupt-Longemer offers in winter its alpine ski area « Le Poli », with 2 green slopes and 2 blue slopes, ideal for family skiing and for beginners, as well as 2 cross-country ski trails these being linked to the Nordic areas of Gérardmer and La Bresse, and in summer kilometers of hiking trails (hiking paradise) marked out the by Club Vosgien, as well as numerous mountain biking trails.

Ideally located 10 minutes from the ski areas of Gérardmer and La Bresse, Xonrupt-Longemer also benefits from all the shops and services of the neighboring town.

At an altitude of between 700 and 1300m, the village of Xonrupt-Longemer is part of the perimeter of the «Ballons des Vosges» Regional Natural Park. Its lake has been classified since 2002 as a natural monument.

• the rock "La Roche du Page" which dominates the glacial valley of Xonrupt-Longemer, a few steps from the Youth Hostel of Xonrupt

• the “Saut des Cuves”, the waterfalls of the “Vologne”, a few steps from the “Pont des Fées” bridge and the “Pierre Charlemagne” stone where Charlemagne's horse is said to have left its mark.

• between Xonrupt and the mountain pass “Col de la Schlucht”, the rock “Roche du Diable” between legends and dream panorama
